Any sports romance story is already high up on my to-read list, so when I saw the cover of Blue Summer Haze volume 1, I knew I had to read it despite knowing there would be a potential love triangle between a pitcher and his two catchers

A cute slice of life story which left me wishing for more between the two main characters instead of racing to the finish line.

While some manga can feel the pressure of rushing out its story, especially for a single volume series, Flip Flip Slowly does the opposite and takes a leisurely stroll with how it feels to get to know someone over time.

We don’t see many stories (yet) set during the COVID pandemic. Home Office Romance puts this world event front and center. This manga really excels at showcasing those earlier days of lockdown when everyone had to readjust to working from home. From rearranging a home office to enjoying an extra hour of sleep without having to deal with a commute, I think everyone who lived through this experience will appreciate all the slice-of-life details shown in this manga. This background paired with a sweet romance piqued my interest.

I drug my feet a bit on starting the next volume of this series. Not because the first volume was bad per se, just that it didn’t grip me enough to immediately rush out and read the next volume. With it being digital only, I was waiting to accrue some points on my account to bring the $10.99 price tag down to something considered more appropriate.

It’s not often that I read a Josei series—not for lack of wanting to—it’s just most series that I think might be Josei turn out to be Seinen instead. Demographics aside, when I saw the cover to Changes of Heart and read the official summary, I felt like this was one series I wanted to check out since it sparked my interest.
